In the matrix the theme of mind over matter comes up in which the protagonist Neo has to come to realize that the matrix does not exist allowing Neo to gain superhuman qualities in the matrix and even being able to defeat Agents. This is similar to The Secret train of thought in which you are past believing in something but know that it will happen which allows you to subtly control the world around you.
